so after spending big money of driftwood in past I have found the best piece in my backyard. bark is gone and everything. I am going to scawled and bake to make safe. I have a few piece of DW already with rocks screwed in to weight down, they also have some kind of plastic gel stuff over them were you can actually touch the screws. So my question is, how do i got about doing this or can i get away with water safe screws

oh ok, i thought they would erode over time or the chemical used to make them stainless would harm them thanks

Stainless steel will rust over a long time, but it's unlikely to harm fish. If you want alternatives, silicon, fish line and plastic rods are a few inert materials that will work.

so i have some silicone tank sealant, will the work besides screws, right? save me some cash, not alot but every penny counts lol
