My peacock bass (monoculus) has only just started to grow at his predicted pace (he's 8cm now thought i bought him at 4cm) as i have increased the temp from a very low 55 to 74. He stayed a low size for about 3 months. Will this have decrease his size permanently? Also the heater that came with his 100 u.s gallon tank doesn't make the water temp go any higher than 74 when I put the dial to 90. Ideally I would like it at 84. What can I do????? any help on both topics would be great

UNDER 83 IS LOW..88 is best with airstones..the temp that low he can get ich quickly..

Buy another heater and put an airstone in there to keep oxygen levels up, u said he was in a tank at 55?? Wow yeah 80 is low I have my younger pbass closer to 87 or 88

buy a larger heater and crank it up with large tanks that like i find have 2 heaters heats the water more uniformly and a lot quicker than with just one as for temp everyone as their own ideal temp but i keep my tanks at 80-82F but then again i live in hawaii so its almost always fairly warm
