Hey everyone I was wondering.. Why does a lot of places say the water should be ideal 78 F when on this website that claims to be wrong?
http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=830+889+912&pcatid=912
and any other fish none say 78 degrees...?

Example:
What if I wanted to keep Otocinclus Catfish with Zebra danio?
Zebra danio say max 75F and OC's say 75-78..
What is a good temperature for both a 75-78 and 68-72F fish?

All fish have an optimum temp range, 78'F is kind of a generic benchmark. But, if you want to keep Gymnogeophagus and you want to keep Nandopsis haitiensus, you need 2 tanks, with 2 temps. Many tropical fish can live in similar temps. Discus like 80s, white clouds like low 70s or high 60s, if you try to keep them together, at 76, both species will be under constant stress, and you should expect disease, or dull colors, or shortened life spans. Research, and proper stocking is the key.
