Water temp??

What water temp should I be at?? I have monos about 3-4 inches my current temp is 27 degrees

Yeah sorry I'm Aussie. Is there a reason for the water temp to be to high or is that the natural water temp?

Because it helps prevent ich, speeds up their metabolism to help them grow quicker and get past the fragile small size. Also when they hatch it's spring in SA and quickly turns to summer where the water temps rise. The small fry move to the shallows for protection and the shallows warm faster.

So when they are past say 12inches can I turn the temp down because I have loaches in there and I don't know if they like the water that warm??

Clown loaches actually prefer warmer water. I had less problem with ick when keeping the tank at 82-83F.
