Obviously I mainly talking about Goonch but I suppose the question could apply to others.

The more I read about the temperature for Goonch I get the feeling not many people get there's to a large size. So the agree temp is 22-24°c there about. They really don't like it hot, on a couple of days his tank has gone up higher he visually look stressed. I put this little tollarance down to the fact in the wild they would stay in the shallows ( to avoid larger fish) and the temp would very day to day. So if we say the temp is around 22°c is this the coldest it get to in the natural environment? Is that shallows water or is this the expect temp an adult would need in the deeper parts of the river because you would expect it to be colder (and apart from seasonal change would for the most part be more stable) in then parts so is it safe to say they could take 20'c or lower??
On a side note is the reason allot of people can't get these cats up to large sizes because of temp? If young fish can take difference's is it safe to assume adults are less so and that to higher temp can cause heath issue??
I understand the oxygen in water is basically governed by temperature also but just trying to understand this. I can't find any real info on water temp in the natural environment except the given values on caresheets.
Just basically thinking out loud lol
