Recently my water temp. increased from 78 to 82. I notice that the endi becomes way more active and consumes much more food. The growth rate is very noticable too, and that's in a few weeks time. Is that common to all kind of bichirs? I didn't notice any diff. for the senegal though.

But I mean he grows 2" within a few weeks time:WHOA:
Jumping from 12" to 14" in such a short time!!

Like the above poster said, warm temp can increase metabolic rate therefore making the fish's appetite even bigger. This is not unusual at all. The growth rate is often dependent on the abundance of food supply.

Yes, I understand that too, but 2" growth within a few weeks time is a lot!
