water Test kits

The only test kit ive got is the API Saltwater Master Test Kit which came with my 75 gallon reef
will results be at all accurate if i use this test kit on my freshwater tanks?
ive noticed the nitrite card says "Fresh and Salt" where the other cards just say salt

will i be fine with this test kit or should i go buy a master FW kit

I just tested my planted fw tank and the nitrates came to about 0 ppm maybe 5 so to me it doesn't seem very accurate or ive got a damn clean tank!

The nitrate colorcards have slightly different colors for salt versus fresh but use the same chemicals.

hmm so is there any way to look at my results and be able to figure out what it the ppm truly is?
