I recently upgraded my 20gallon tank to a 50 gallon. 2 days after transferring everything these are my readings.

Ph 7.8
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite .5ppm
Nitrate 10ppm

Going on what i know, i would say i've got enough Nitrite bacteria to get rid of all the ammonia but my Nitrate's haven't caught up to the Nitrites yet. Am i correct? And will the Nitrite level hurt my fish? Do i need to do anything or just leave it until the Nitrates build up more?

The short answer is that I personally would not worry too much. However depending on how heavily the tank is stocked some care should be taken. Keep up with your water changes
