water tester

Drops are the more accurate than strips and a lot more economical than either strips or electronics.

I had some meters, but I would never recommend them. They do not last and give inconsistant readings. Mine were dead within a year. Also they are accurate only within a narrow range. If you are outside of that range it is a craps shoot. By double checking with a test kit, I lost faith in my meters. They are a fast way to tell you if things are ok while they are new, but they need to be recalibrated periodically. You are better with a liquid test kit. They take more time but you know what is going on in the water.

I agree. I had a meter and I could get a reading and then 2 minutes later, get a totally different reading. I have the strips but the liquid tests are more accurate.

ok thanks. i have axolotls = 5 in 75 bowfront and from the front aquarium water looks clear but look from the side looks cloudy

My tank is always cloudy because my fish are really messy.
