Hi guys,

I have a 48x20x20 tank with 1 Alligator Gar, 1 Clown Knife Fish, 2 Oscars, 2 Pacus', 2 Silver Scale, & 2 Janitors.

I have a DIY 3 stage Baki Filter running on a RIO 10HF powerhead and also a Precision PF-950 OHF..

I have noticed the past month that after I CW it'll only take a few days then the h20 turns green.. This didnt happen to my tank before.. Just now even though it's expose by heat of the sun between 1-4pm.. My DIY baki filter is compsed of fiber filter on the 1st stage then goes to the ceramic rings on the 2nd stage and lastly to my DIY plastic ring w/ netbag it's just like a ceramic ring though but with netbag on it i'll post the pic also..

Any idea why this has happened? Im leaning towards the cycling of the h20.. does it have something to do with the set up? my DIY baki filter is across my OHF Precision Filter so it may have something to do with the water current?

Thanks in advance for the help!

This is my tank after cleaning as you can see, my DIY baki filter is situated in the left side while my precision pf-950 OHF is just across it.. do you guys think I need to put them side by side for a more proper filtration? TIA

And this is what happened before, my h20 turned green and after a few days it became very clear so i was thinking it really has something to do with the cycling of the h20..

if you cant get UV for your setup then do 10-15% WC daily or every other day
and add some live plants and clean your tank often with a magfloat of w/e u
have. also if you can some shade or at least something to get it off direct sunlight.
