what is better to do when changing your water
-use tap water and treat it with water conditioner
or
-get fresh drinking purified water from stores etc...?

I use treated tap water aged 24 hours, and I have never had a problem.

just use tap water and dechlorinator a lot of bottled water is missing needed minerals and such in the water...

tap water and conditioners. Bottled water can be unpredictable in terms of minerals etc so stay safe

tap water, no water conditioners.. :)

Might wanna mention to age it first so the chlorine evaporates, unless it's well water.

I use a python so I personally just dechlorinate the water as it's being added to the tank. The only water I age is for my saltwater tanks.

Purified bottled water is usually just tap water, unless it's distilled. There's been several shows and articles dedicated to testing bottled water and figuring out the source, and it's usually straight out of a tap somewhere.
Just 'cause it says spring water or something doesn't mean anything, my tap water here could be considered spring water since the primary source is a waterway fed by several springs.
Most tap water is purified before it gets to your house, so there's little difference other than the addition of chlorine or chloramine which can be removed by water conditioners.

Don't ever use distilled water for your water changes, it has NOTHING in it, it's completely pure water and fish need some minerals and different stuff to live.

Tap water with a dechlorinator. The water here contains both chlorine and chlorinase.
