i built the pvc overflows. and im plannign to put 2 input and an output into the 180. the backgrounds black on the 180 though. wondering is there a paint i coudl sue to cover it? or what will be the best method of hiding the white pvc.

Back in the day I have spray painted the PVC black and had no problems with it, but im sure alot of people might be against that.
But, it worked for me with no fish loss.

i think someone mentioned the fuzion paint from walmart was fish safe

Bingo!

Krylon Fusion plastic paint non-toxic when dry.

Clear or camouflage...then you can't see it!

Scuff up the PVC first, I was lazy and didn't sand, it started chipping within a month.

I called krylon and they said it takes 7 days at room temp to fully cure.

The Krylon fusion paint is working great so far (6 months in water). Before this product came along, the only long-lasting safe paint was marine epoxy paint. You can buy a couple of cases of the Krylon plastic paint for the same price as a single 2-part can of the epoxy paint.

My pvc overflow painted with fuzion.Like said before scuff it up with some sand paper,a few light coats & your good to go.The can said it would be chip proof in 7 days.
