wats better a canaster or a aqua clear over hang???

I like the hang on the back filters for adding oxygen to the water but if you use an under tank I use wet/dry

I prefer cans because they are more versatile but when I do use HOT's I use Aquaclear.

Cannister, less cleaning and hassle, cleaner looking. More area for biological filtration.

I like AC's more. Great mechanical filtration and I reckon pretty easy to clean without pulling apart a cannister even though more often. I use AC500's with foam on the bottom, cotton wadding in the middle for finer particles and matrix in a filter bag on top. I clean mine every 2 to 3 weeks.
