I was thinking may be i would use a heater on each end of the tank on the back, im finding one up to 400 watt, but its only saying 50 watts is good for 5-14 gal
Get two 300 or 400 watt heaters. You'll be fine. Bigger tanks take longer to heat up, but longer to cool down so you won't need as many wattage as smaller tanks.

well i got two temp readers on the tank (the ones that stick to the outside glass and without water they have been going from about 70 to 76, since we leave the window open all night
Honestly you won't go wrong with either a pair of 300 or 400 watt hydor theo's. I had a 300 watt in my 55 (thought it was a 150 but when I took my 55 down to sell it was a 300!) and it kept the water warm! The guy that had my 180 before me used just a single 300 with no problems.
