I'm setting up a 125 FOWLR tank. Would I really need to buy a wave maker or could I use a aquaclear 70 powerhead, pointed at a diagonal a crossed the tank and a maxi-jet 600 next to it pointing up at the top to make ripples at the top? Or are wave makers mainly for reef?
thank you.
i have 2 maxi-jet 1200 circulating pump parts on it. it comes with the parts needed. i have them in a 55 and has been doing great for over a year now. 2 would be great in a 125
Not just for reef. Check out the Jebao line of wavemakers. 2 wp-25's or wp-40's set on else mode or wave 1 at opposite ends of the tank would do wonders in your 125 I use a single wp-60 in my 500 for my cichlids and it alone produces a 2 inch wave at the top of the tank, powerful pumps
Wp 60 is way to powerful for his setup. Having extra water movement is good. the jebao wp40 would be perfect. But a couple power heads and good filtration would work as well.
