Wave maker on constantly?

Hey everyone,

Ive got a 720L, 2m long tank with a maxspect Gyre jump 4k (1500L/h). But the flow seems to bother the fish. Even at 10% they seem to be working too hard.

Ive got an FX6 at each end too but I end up with dead spots so I need the flow.

does anyone else have the same issue? Do you have the time wave maker on a timer or would the fish get used to it?

what species are we taking about?
And how is the pump directed? Is focused in a small area? spread out?
You have a similar size to my tank, and below is how I send flow, but I have riverine species, and none are phased at all..
