Wave maker

Hi,I have bought a wavemaker because my tank was having substrate filtration issues...My tank is 4 feet and 250 liter...My filter intake is one the left side from (front view)..Can I know which side should I put my wavemaker..I know that for better circulation need tqo of em but i only have one for now, I need to know which side to put..tq

I would put it near the surface and close to the filter intake because normally most particles will accumulate below the circulation pump.
