Anyone use a wavemaker for their clown loaches? This species enjoys a strong flow, so I was thinking a step up from a traditional powerhead. Maybe a Jebao MP-40 for my 170G, costs $70.

I've used two 1500 gph koralia circulation pumps located on opposite ends of my 4'x2'x2' 120 gallon. One aimed across the front glass. With the other aimed across the back glass. The bottom of the tank was like a flushing toilet bowl lol. The loaches would hang out right in the current. The programmable ones may nice to slow them down at night. Mine would go under the driftwood and out of the current when the lights went out.

I have a wave maker on my tank, situated right down the bottom directed length ways, my tank has several directions of flow from different pumps etc.The clowns seem to enjoy it

I'm setting up similar to slippery slime coat except I'm using 2 500 gph supreme Aqua mag drives in diagonally opposing corners with a small coarse sponges as intakes In either corner opposing the pumps plus an eheim 2262 with spay bar on surface....
