It is possible to change an ambusher to chaser?i like it when they chase the fish instead of waiting and ambush

It strike when landed low

I'm imagining your asking this because you've got an ambush predator whose being out competed for food by a chaser. The fish would have to essentially change on his own by starving and seeing he's being out competed I imagine. Much like trying to train predators on to pellets you hope that at a certain point the fish will try to adapt due to lack of food. The only thing on your end I think you can do is not over feed live prey in an attempt to make sure he gets his fair due. By over feeding to compensate you'll just over feed the chasers and he'll still get a minimum amount if he manages to get any. So I say starve him/her and when you feel he/she's gone to long without food than you resort to over feeding to ensure their survival and start the process again. At least logically that's what I'd do.

^^^ +1

If you trying to get a african bush fish to compete for food with a baby peacock bass, or a leaf fish with a oscar (not that these are good tankmates mind you) thats not going to happen.
Now a fish that is outgoing will compete for food and not shy away from a feeding frenzy if hungry enough. This is often the case with predatory fish.
What fish were you talking about?

you cant change what a fish is. that pretty much defeats the whole fish keeping idea anyway, IMO. we already have them at our mercy, as to the minimal habitat we provide. changing what they are and how they function is a bit much. it's instinct.
