I set up a 125g the other day, finally had the aquascaping to my liking. Got everything running. First time using a sump.

So I fill everything up, have it running for a day or two, then last night wanted to add an air stone. I put the air stone in with the air tubing, but forgot to plug the tubing into the pump :screwy:.

I woke up and went to pt at 6 this morning and thought everything was fine Everything was definitely running then. I come back an hour and half later and my sumps, running dry, water was low, and my carpet is SOAKED!!

At first I messed the sump up some how and it over flowed. But then I noticed it was only on one side of the sump and I saw the air tubing with water slowly trickling out of it. :nilly: Good thing I caught it now, cuz Im pretty sure it would have trickled all the water out of the tank.

That sucks.

Just for the heck of it you might want to add a check valve to the tubing. :)

ehhh.. I soaked what I could up. Landlord has one of those commercial floor fan dryer things. Hooked that up and turned the heat up in the house. Let it go for a while but has that musky moist smell when I walk in. Might open some windows even though its below freezing.

Also will sprinkle some of that smelly stuff you let sit for half an hour then vacum up.

check valves are a must have if your airpump is below tank hight..
