i have seen pics of fishes' coloration change for the better.
is it the food that the fish eats?
or is it the special lighting that they use in the tanks?

do you have any detail on enhancing their colors?
and how long would it take?

:screwy:

Both Food and lighting take a toll on fish colors. As does the substrate, background and decoration color. Stress or water chemistry can change a fishes coloration as well.

Best food brands IMO are Hikari and H2O Life, Hikari really makes fish colors pop.

Try a combination of daylight and actinic blue lights to make colors stand out.

Go for black substrate and a black background, that makes fish colours brighter.

Food generally over the course of a few weeks.

Backgrounds can be almost instantaneous

And lighting, once again instant

Feed your fish New Life Spectrum! An excellent food with color enhancing as a bonus!

BTW, nice looking Aro in your avatar!

Any food with high beta carotene can enhance the fish's coloration. So do carrots.

Hikari Pellets, market shrimp work for my blood oscar.

krill usually will have a positive effect on color, foods with krill as a main ingredient like NLS will help

Hikari, omega one and NLS seem to be the best reviewed foods. Lights and dark substrate will help too.

Just the way you take pictures of a fish will be significant on the perceived color. Using the flash on a regular camera generally makes fish look a lot different. My GT looks terrible if I use the flash. People with overhead flashes and DSLR cams can get crazy good pictures though.
