Ways to get a weeksii bichir to eat again?

When i bought him, the first week he ate shrimp but then wouldnt touch it again.....tried feeders,pellets,ghost shrimp, and cut fish ( tilapia ). Any ideas? ITs probably been about a week without food. Thanks



p.s...... I heard sumthing about garlic? Used to get them to start eating?

Sometimes picky bichirs will not eat for a while. Remember in the wild they go without a month of food sometimes. Keep offering him food until he eats it. On days he doesnt eat it, remove the food.

u dont need garlic products yet do u feed with lights off? try earthworms and mealworms i use those on new polys alot and a week wont kill a poly so dont worry yet

I usually have the lights off if im not in the room and all........trying to save money on electric. But i keep feeding everyday to try and get him to eat....he is the only one in the bunch thats stubborn lol
