Considering my impending tank move tomorrow i was thinking how you all got your tanks in your house. Whats the biggest tank you fit in a car? Any weird stories? Ever had to MacGyver a plan to get a tank? How far did u go to get your tank? What about fish any weird bringing fish home stories?

If you slapped a tank in a truck bed and just took it out, easy peasy thats no fun :P

I fit a 4x2x2 with 30" stand in the back of a ford explorer. Took around 40 mins to position it so the hatch would close. I was definitely worried bc I was driving 250+ miles with it. I also picked up a 360 and a stand and drove it over 250 miles, but I had it on a home depot flatbed truck.

Had my 600 on a trailer and used a jack and some pallets to get it on and off.
Worst thing was having to carry it around the back of the house to get it through the slider - took 6 strong fellas but we got her done.

When I was a car-less college kid living in st Louis missouri I once walked four miles to pick up a uhaul cargo van. I then drove, alone, 15 miles to a less than perfect neighborhood in what was then "the most dangerous city in America" to pick up a 120 long. I got the tank loaded up and didnt get mugged in the process. I drove back to my apartment(which didn't allow fish tanks lol) to find that the service elevator was shut down. I pulled the van right up to the front of the apartment complex and somehow got that (seemingly massive) tank on a dolly and wheeled it through the lobby right past the doorman and the property manager and into the elevator. Oh, and I got it through a revolving door as well lol. Never have I felt so awkward. I managed to get the tank and the stand up to my room and I dropped off the truck, walked 4 miles back( this was in July as well and it was at least 95 degees out). I think part of me died that day. The things I did for my fish.

Going to Paris tx to pick up a 125 tomorrow...72" long...my avalanche is about 62" long...oh well, figure it out when I get there, btw, first post ever on this forum...
