I purchased a group of 5x Eretmodus cyanostictus goby cichlids (collection point "Kipili") a bit ago. One set has paired off and has already spawned once.

The adults have a light grey body, bright yellow bars, bright blue spots, a nice orange crest along the dorsal fin, and a face only a mother could love.

They're awesome tank mates for my Tropheus colony.

First time raising fry so it's kinda neat. Thought I'd post some pics and join the fun.

Some pics of the adults, and some pics of the fry at yolk sac stage and then a little beyond.

Thanks for your attention!

That is exciting. How big are the tropheus and is that the first evidence of spawning from them?

At or near full size, most around between 4-5 inches. A proven WC breeding colony that I purchased as a group (28) from another hobbyist.

They've spat a few times into the main tank before, but none of the fry survived. I got sick of them eating their own fry (I've been hoping to expand the colony to 50+) so moving forward I'm going to strip them the first week of the month.

The past week when I stripped, 1 had free swimmers, but two others had eggs. I didn't have my tumbler yet, so unfortunately those were lost.
