I have a 125 growout tank for 3 Pbass (all around 3") and 2 motoro rays (approx 4" disc). The filtration on the tank is a fluval FX5 stocked with Biomedia (potscrubbers and ceramic rings) as well as a ac110 with the standard rings/sponge combo. For this kind of a bioload with this filtration, I realize more is better however what do you think would be adequate. Would 2-3x a week at 34-40% be adequate?

In order to find the proper interval for water changes you need to keep a close watch on your nitrate levels with a good test kit and see how quickly they climb above 50 PPM. I also use a TDS meter and schedule a change any time the reading creeps above 350 or so. If you're not testing the water then you're wasting a great feal of time, water and effort not to mention stressing the fish unnecessarilly and the cost of Prime.

i always did 50% twice a week roughly but that was probally not good enough i need a drip system.... but wolf did give ya the righ info..
