As i stated in my other thread (decided to make a new one as i lost the previous), i have two wild caught umbees that i acquired at the exact same size and have grown at identical rates for the past year. Both fish are around 9 inches in length now. Initially i had them in a 100g undivided and the one that i suspected was female nearly killed the suspected male. Due to this aggression and their identical growth rates, I chalked them up to being both female. I put in a divider and let them be, separately, for a number of months. A few weeks ago, I noticed a little bit of flirting going on through the divider. Once i pulled the divider, the fish began showing prespawn type behaviour.. The initially suspected male colors and flairs up and shows off for the initially suspected female.. Today, i noticed the initally suspected male has a V shaped tube sticking out of his genital area.
