Can some one tell me why one would be better than the other when it comes to cichlids? I would think that WC would be more aggressive and tank bred to be more colorful but thats just my guess. Why would you favor one over the other?

Tank bred, meaning generations of inbreeding IMO tends to wash out colors by allowing 10s to 100s of a spawn to survive, instead of weeding out the inferior specimens. Whereas in the wild only the best, brightest, and strongest survive.
Wild may also mean more aggressive or... most wary.
You may presume most colorful fish happen due to selective breeding, but how many hobbyist breeders actually cull all but one or 2 best or brightest of a spawn.
I find man made variations although bright in certain color ranges or distorted body shapes to be artificial, and to me....less beautiful, less desirable.
