But what about silver's anyone ever had a silver or a black arowana go psycho in there tank or go on a killing spree. My old silver would not touch a fly. But my new one is Quite mean when the lights go out he doesnt like my tsn very much. The aro slowly sinks down to the bottom sneaks up behind the tsn n bites his tail. Never does it with the lights on lol. Weird behavior.

that is wierd, new to me .do you have lights on at night, try total blackout no light source. what size tank? do you have plenty of room? what about a hiding place for the tiger to get away from the areo.most areos dont like to go in caves, pipes ect. also a couple pieces of driftwood might help.

My silver aro hit about 20 inches and started going after my red tail giant gourami. He ignored the bichirs, catfish and gt in the tank. He had it out for the gourami which was the second largest fish at 12 inches. They had previously been evenly matched when they did fight but at 20 inches he became capable of inflicting real damage so i got rid of him.

based on the behavior of mine i am surprised he would go after a fish that spends its time near the bottom of the tank, but i would at least be prepared to rehouse someone before someone gets killed.

I believe if you keep them fed on a mixed diet, they will be happy. I only have raised one aro, but that was my secret to that peaceful aro. :p

Cichlids gold new life spectrum and market shrimp mussels he eats very well he jus doesnt like the catfish there about the same size aro maybe a inch or two longer

I have never had an agreesive silver or black. Silvers can be agressive to blacks,,though.

Jardinis and Asians, especially Greens and RTG is a completely different ball game imho.
