we need a league!`

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi,

we are a minority ... but how should such a league look like?
Here are two wonderful lobbyists: Anne and MsMassPoly ... but do they make any impact to the masses of cichlid lovers?
Here are some members spreading their wonderful pics around (HKN, Infblue, Chaitika to name a few)) ... but every crisp and artific pic is worthless if there is only one blurry pic of a cichlid (to make it "perfect" in colour combinations that make a seeing.eye dog gnarl ...).
Such a league seems like a sisyphus' work - senseless. Bichirs will never be those beloved tank inhabitants! At least not in Europe ... in the US they are more popular, in Asia very popular ...
I've asked me why it is sooooooo difficult to buy a bichir in Germany - you can buy all those fish that ...
a) are veryveryvery sensible²
b) are short living
c) are plant killers (Germans LOVE plants!)

... this question is somewhat rhetoric - bichirs are ...
a) not sensible
b) can grow old (some decades)
c) do not ruin the water plants

You see: Bichirs are uneconomic! It's better to deal with peacocks that peg out after a year (or after a few months 'cause the partial water change causes a decrease of temperature of 1 degree) - and to deal with cichlids that make your plants looking like a spinach soup after one hour ...

Greetings

Uwe
