Long story short, we went to buy a male JD from a craigslist post of a guy was selling off a whole aquarium and its stock. When we got there, it looked like they were moving out. The guy was packing things up in his garage as we pulled in; there was a Century 21 sign in the yard etc...

So, we go in and he's got 3 JD's (2 males/1 female), a pleco, a red jewel and 2Con's (1 male/ 1 female) all slammed in a 10gal.

we decided to take all of the fish as we felt bad for them.

We since have given the jewel to a fellow aquarist who keeps Africans but, still have the rest of the fish layed out as follows:

55: 2 JD’s (1 male, 1 female), 1 Common Pleco, 2 Pictus Cats, 4 Silver Dollars

55: 1 JD (male), 1 Blood Parrot, 1 Severum, 1 Common Pleco, 1 Silver Angel

30: 2 Convicts (1male/1female), 3 Cory Cats

15: 4 Mollies (1 male, 3 females), 2 Pot belly Mollies, 2 Dwarf Gouramis, 1 Dwarf Angel

we don't seem to be having any problems as of yet and think we did the best we could re-homing everyone but may need to move one or two more as we might be over-stocked.

We’re looking for some opinions and ideas.

Thanks in advance!

one thought was to add a 30g and move all of these guys over. (silver dollars, cory's, and the angel)

what do you think?

You may want to try to re-home as many as you easily can. 30 might be too tight, SD's get decent sized and bounce around like idiots. Sevs and jds can also be good size.

I would definitely get rid of the plecos they are gonna be a mess and too huge and try to get like a 75 or 90 and keep a few cichlids and stuff.

Both 55s are overstocked. Like suggested above, get rid of the Plecos. They make more mess than they are worth anyway (I'm assuming they are the common variety). You could keep 1 male JD with the female in a 55 for a little while. I think they would do better in something a bit larger.
