I just picked up 2 Orange Pikes,both are about an inch in length,is there a chance of weaning them off of live food??Plus how big can these guys get??Any pics of yours would be really cool!!Thanx!!

I've never had a problem with Orange pikes. Just start feeding them frozen foods and pellets. Honestly, they are one of the easiest pikes to get on preparred foods.
When i first got mine, it easily accepted frozen foods such as bloodworms,brine shrimp, and mysis shrimp. then as it got bigger i started feedin it krill. and occasionally some feeders.
Its about 8" or so and still growing. i know they get bigger than 12". Heres a few pics of mine.sry pics arent the greastest.

I just got them today,for the hell of it i threw in some flakes they attacked it but spit them out,i would be really happy if these guys eat dry fish food.Do you think i could try raw shrimp??
YES!!!!!This morning i threw in some broken up Tetra Cichlid sticks and the domiant one attacked them,then the weaker 1 started to follow his lead and ate some of the sticks too!!I am soooo happy because all i ever heard was that Pikes eat live,thanks for all the helpful info guys,you are the best!!!

. You just have to have the patience and determination to do so. Congrats on getting them to eat! I know it can be a relief as well as less spendy on the pocket book!!
