Weaning Obscura off feeders?

Should I starve him right away and keep introducing market shrimp & tilapia to him? Or should I feed him a few feeders and then proceed the switch?

I would prefer option #1, to get it done and successfully over with.

starve him for a few days like any fish, and see if he will take it

i would not feed for 3-4 days then try small amounts of other things , mine takes anything yet my pleuro will take frozen bloodworm but outright refuse shrimp , so just try a couple of things he might just go for one and not the other , remember to remove any uneaten food

Are those hard shell meal worms good for feeding? I heard the hard shell sometime create digestion problem.
