Sorry guys, this is kind of a repeat of an earlier post of mine. I have these two payaras that I had been fatting up for a while. Now I am kind of towards the end of my starvation weaning phase. I am trying to switch them over to frozen krill and then go from there, but I need some ideas on how to get them to hit the krill. One of the two will eat one occasionally, but only when he is really excited. For the most part they both rush over to the krill and then let it float past them. A couple times I tried using a prong and moving the krill around. It did not fool anyone. So any ideas would be appreciated. On the positive side my ropefish is going nuts over the frozen krill. Thanks for the help.

I have not heard of any success at doing so.

Then I guess I will have to be the first. Just need to figure out a trick first.

Try not to get hung up on the fact that it is a payara. What tricks would you use with your fish?

Lionfish often have this same problem..

I had alot of success with a designed feeding stick that is clear plastic. It bounces and naturally vibrates like live Prey, and the fish seem to really react to it.. Also try soaking your live feeders in garlic, and then using the krill in garlic.. The fish will learn to recognize the garlic scent as a food source, especially when fasting!!
