Milky Way Galaxy,
Hey guys i finaly know what am going to do with my pond! ALL OUT WEATHER LOACHES! just got some questions. 1 Would a staple diet of bloodworms, shrimp pellet, and market shrimp be good? 2 do they need to be trained to eat the food stated above? 3 How many can i put in my pond? 4 What kind of water do they like? ph? hard or soft? 5 Whats there behavior like? i know feeding will be a frenzy but when there not feeding are they active?

Don't bother too much with the pH and hardness levels. They're very much adapted to various range.

As for feeding, no need to train them.lol They are avid eaters and will eat just about anything but leave the snails in my experience unless you squash the snails. They don't have the "sucker mouth" that botiine loaches have to behave like that. They can also handfeed once they're accustomed to your presence.

As for the number, you can try 20 in your pond if you like.
