Weather loach

Last I heard weather/dojo loaches were illegal in the fish trade in Oz. I am not so sure you can get them in a local store. You can order them from an online fish supplier, but ask if they are allowed to ship to Australia before you order. No point ordering fish and paying shipping if they are confiscated before delivery to your home. ;)

Yeah I'll have to find out about that.

But we have them here I know that, you can catch them in some parts.
 
I hear that a lot of people just catch them and then QT them for a bit, since you can't buy them. Since there is an abundance of weather loaches, I do see the harm in catching one. ;)
 
These loaches are sociable creatures and it would be best to get at least two if you plan on keeping them. They are terrific fish! I have the typical weather loaches as well as the golden ones.
