4-5 cm weather loaches....planning to feed them to my giant snakehead babies...which are 8 cm..

suggestions?

Are they selling them as feeders? Also, aren't they more expensive than other types of fish that are usually cheaper and used for feeders. If the loaches are as cheap or cheaper than regular feeders then I don't think there will be a problem. However, if the loaches are more expensive, I don't think they are better for your fish than regular feeders. The Doctor.

How unfortunate!

i do not think loaches would be a good idea , i do not think there meaty enough and like stated before they are more expensive then alternate feeders

I wouldn't. Loaches have retractable spines behind their eyes that would expand when eaten. They could wreck some havoc on the eaters.

Also, why do you want to use a loach instead of regular feeders?

dojo/weather loaches are regularly used as feeder fish in china and other asian countries. and I don't believe they have spines like clown loaches do so they should be fine as feeders.

your so lucky you livin in china and can have snakeheads

the weather loaches are pretty cheap here....a dollor for half of pound...like 70-90 fishes for a dollor {6 yuan}
here the dont have "regular feeders"....best example is guppies...they are soo expensive,like 4 fishes for a dollor,and they are smaller than the loaches,too small...
