Noticed something web-like hanging off my puffer (whom scoots along the bottom a lot) and wrote it off as being snail slime..... Now I just noticed when I looked closely at the glass that there are small web-like strands (not planaria or anything worm like, this is an actual web....) that is covering a fairly large area on the one side of my tank. Any idea what could be causing/makin this?! Would appreciate some input. Thanks! :)

There are a couple snails and also flatworms that leave web like trais and even some snails that leave a slime "web" like some sea cucumbers, to collect detritus and bacteria then slurp it up later.

Anything i need to be concerned about? How about the flatworms? Thanks Guppy!

It's my puffer tank and actually want snails in there..... If there are any they're not big enough that they are really noticeable. The flatworms I don't know anything about though. Different than planaria?

They are a type of planaria, there are several, one type in Lake Baikal gets about 12" long.

That's some BIG planaria...... From what I understand planaria is not necessarily bad so I'm assuming I shouldn't worry. Correct?! I clean that tank very often and regularly suck out fecal matter because he does eat live food.....
