I have heard other theories too like estrogen from birth control pills that makes its way into the environment is messing with frogs. Giving them extra limbs, making both masculine females and feminine males, etc...
wow that was a very interesting read, they should definitely do more field tests to discover if this could in fact be a cause of the disappearance of amphibians from many lakes here in the U.S. is this a widely used herbicide or only in limited places? (definitely need to ask my HOA what they are spraying all the time outside lol)
this is only a small problem with frogs right now. the big one would be Kitchrid fungus (sp) that is eradicating certain species from entire countries (i.e. panama has 90% less frogs than it did just 50 years ago.)
