hey guys i bought this bichir sold as a ornate. to my surprise after a few input on it turns out its a weeksii, i really wanted a ornate. whats the deal with the weeksii? didnt see much about them, are they rare? not sought after?

They are WAYYYY harder to find than the common Ornate. I think 20" is max size or something but as far as I know they are on the rare list but just not on the top of it

I paid 80 for my 7-8" Weeksii so im sure you got a hell-a deal if u paid a Ornate price

What size?? Looks to be 7" or so... Id say you came up on it. Assuming it was a hole in the wall Lfs... I love them the most because of this exact reason!!!

its about 8" yea the guy didnt even know it was in that tank there was just a tag that said ornate bichir $39.99

Yes, Its a weeksi. Its way so much rarer than the common ornate. Keep it and get an ornate. (remember that ornate is more blackish in colour) Weeksi is nice. grow it up and u will understand what i mean. i currently am keepin one around 17inches and another piece around 18inches.

Nice looking weeksii. I not getting rid of it if I were you. Quality is very nice with lots of greenish color on the head. I don't pften see weeksii's with colorations lie that.
