I am moving into a new home and would like some guidance on whether or not this is a safe spot to put my 220 gallon tank.

it’s a first floor office with oak floors.
the picture is the basement with the black box marking off where the tank will go.

I wish it was running perpendicular to the beams but it backs up directly against the weight barring wall.

anyone do anything similar

This question gets asked frequently. Honestly the best answer is to have a structural engineer come out and look at the floor joists to see if they will support the weight.

Yeah, no one on here in their right mind is going to stick their neck out and give you the go ahead and say it's fine. Too many variables. And besides, from your point of view, and for your own peace of mind, surely you'd prefer to have a professional take a look and give you a proper answer.
