As title states, anyone tried weighted dips as their primary upper body movement?

Kind of stagnating on flat bench, love dips but still deciding whether the risk/reward is worth it in regards to shoulder health.

I don't have a single primary exercise for upper body. I do dips as a last exercise generally for chest, but i do them weightless. After flat bench, inclines, flat flies, incline flies..my chest is usually spent and unweighted dips is all can do to get 10 to 15 gd reps with good form. Are you doing the dips for chest or triceps specifically? My shoulders are pretty flexible and i've been doing dips without pain for a long time, but if yours ever start hurting and you can't get a full stretch without pain in the starting position..i would go unweighted or skip the exercise all together

Sorry for the late reply, tried it for a week and quickly patched it; definitely not good on my shoulders!

Interestingly, ring dips feel great; and produce much better activation for me, so I've basically decided to keep flat bench as my main, incline secondary; then dips as my ancillary and see how that goes for a while.
