Weird Activity?

Looked over at my tank once, and thought I had a dead poly

But once I tapped the overflow, he took right off. I've seen him do this on several occasions, and other than this, he exhibits no other odd behavior. He seems to like just like chilling out up there sometimes, floating, being held by the suction of the overlow. He will come down on his own, and doesn't stay up for extended periods of time. Is this something I should be worried about or prevent?

Mine display the same behavior. They like to float on top of my heater and using their tail as a suction to keep them from falling off the heater.

Its perfectly normal especially in juvi senegals.You could add some kind of floating plant for it to hang out in-Anne

that was exactly my thoughts when i got my new sens and saw a few floating on the surface
but thats just poly behavior

OK, thanks for the info. I was planning on adding some floating plants eventually anyway, now I've got more of a reason to.

mine hang out in the floating plants.
