Hey All,
As some of you may have read, I rescued a fish that only had one eye. He's doing great, eating, and hasn't shown any signs of being sick. The new problem is, because he's so small, he does great with my community tank. He is a red belly pacu, but is smaller than a quarter as of right now. All of the fish are getting along, and he hasn't been aggressive towards any of them. Weirdly, the black skirt tetra is the aggressive one in the situation. I know these tetras can actually be somewhat aggressive towards new fish and can have their little territories set up that only they know. So here I am again looking for advice. I'm not super concerned about the pacu, he does not seem stressed out about it, and has actually healed some of his tail back that was torn up from where I got him. The problem is, he is now losing some of his top fin, and I have a feeling the tetra is the culprit. I have another tank I could move the tetra to, but it is smaller which is why I don't want to move the pacu into it. Yes I know someone is going to comment "Do you only have one black skirt tetra? They should be in groups!" Yes I am aware, and used to actually have six others, but unfortunately they all passed due to old age (I had them for years.) Also, the tetra is not aggressive towards any other fish and has never been a problem before, so I am not concerned about moving him into another community tank, but wanted to come here first and get all of your opinions and advice on what to do, etc. Thanks!
