There's some sort of strange algae growing in my well established 55g discus tank. . . it looks like a lot of little black tufts growing on the plants and bog log. I will try to get pics up later, but does this sound familiar to anyone from just a description, and should I be concerned?

See the planted sections stickies for a link. You have black beard/brush algae. Easy to get rid of using excel dips, or bleach solution dips.
