Weird behavior from Ribbon Snake

So I finally got my Peninsula Ribbon a working heat lamp again, and all of a sudden he's acting very strange. He spends most of his time burrowed on the cool side of the tank...? I'm thinking maybe he's not used to the heat...? He's still acting normal otherwise.

maybe its a tad too hot.... remove the heat lamp.. and see if he comes out..

Whats the wattage? and whats the cage size?

10g for now, 20 gallon long upgrade later. And I turned it off, and he came out.

You dont need a bulb for that kind of snake most of the time, a friend keeps a good copple of hands full of thouse and all he has is a heat cord and the room ligth, thats it.
