Hopefully that title gets some attention out of context.

See the bump on our left hand side of the female down there? This female ironically rides the glass all the time. I have seen this bump for months but I figured it would go away or its just an anomaly. Only reason I am posting is because it is seemingly getting bigger... maybe. I'll easily be able to take more pics if you guys want, this female has never been bred before, there is a similar bump kind inside her on the other side, it protrudes maybe like 1/10th of what the big one does. Only thing out of the ordinary that happened with her lately is I watched her crap almost like powder once, or pure liquid, it fouled the tank up something awful. Only seen that once. She is skinny compared to my other two rays but she eats very well, no signs of any bones anywhere she's fat enough. This girl is around 4 years old and incredibly tiny for her species, grows but really not much.

Thanks.

Lol looks like she needs to make an appointment at the clinic, I'm not buying she hasn't been breeding........... :D

Not picking on her at all. Small nips but no where near the way he gets at the bigger female.

Bump had recently gone down. It seems to fluctuate. Maybe some form of intestinal anomaly or hernia of sorts? Based on how full she is? I really would have guessed it was more of a sex organ, anyone know stingray anatomy that can give an idea of what is down and around there?

to be honest i haven't looked that closely at a female ray. I am really not sure if they have a genital papilla or not. Is it over the rectum?

No to the side, and it looks like she has another one on the other side but not as swollen. Looking at her right now I don't see much sign of any bump.

I'm stumped my man. I don't think it's a parasite or infection, your other fish would be showing symptoms by now I would imagine. some sort of internal hemorrhoid? its' good she surfs the glass so you can keep an eye on it. Hopefully the male got to her when you were asleep. that's what I'm routing for :)
