So i have this one clown loach that likes to eat with my cichlids. He comes up and eats the pellets off of the top of the water. Anyone else ever have theirs do that? i just thought it was weird.

I have one out of my seven that seems to like the floating pellets better than sinking. He we even wait at the top while the other 6 are on the bottom. Lol

If you like the look of clowns being active and foraging food up top. Just only feed floaters for athe next 3-5 days. You'll see all the clowns go up one by one.
I have had clown loaches on at least 4 different tanks and eventually some if not all of them come to the surface for floating food. Seems to happen more quickly the more comfortable they are in the environment
It took mine a while to build up the courage to feed from the top... now I occassionally have to overfeed so that other fish (more clowns, and CA/SA cichlids) will get some food and not just my largest loach. It's absolutely ridiculous how much that things eats some days.
