My 20 gal growout has quite the weird combination. It has my 4" Datnoid, a Pictus catfish who is spastic, a juvenile blackghost knife, and my juvenile Bluegill sunfish that was being thrashed by a Butterfly Goodeid in my loach tank. Everyone gets along, but definitely an unusual combo of fish. I have black and orange gravel, a large sword plant, and some driftwood for the ghost to hide in. Also added two moon lights for observation of the ghost knife. I read on an earlier thread that they were blind, but mine hides during the day and is out at night.

Cool tank Ewurm,

got any pics of the Datnoid?

I haven't seen mine in a month

I want to see that Dat again too:D

I also I have a wierd combo in a ten... I have three tetras, one with only one eye, a cory cat that always sits sideways, and three dollar sunfish. They surprisingly get along very well and I love to sit and look at that tank. And I want to see the dat also!

the dat and ghost are gonna putgrow that tank in less than year.

i'm sure you know this, and are going to get annoyed at me for pointing it out, but I think you should keep fish in growouts they can stay in for at least a year.

I dunno fishcatch, my dat hasn't grown at all since I got him 4 months ago. He is really shy and dats are slow growers, so who knows. It will prolly be in there for a while.

Pics Ewurm, PICS!!!!!

Thats what I thought too. The Dat hasn't grown a spec since I got him, and the ghost knife can go in a 40 as soon as I think he will be OK. If the Dat grows a couple inches I'll put him in a 37 tall.
