WEIRD DISCUS????

Does anybody knows what kind of discus is this??? coz' i had him/her for awhile like months but it seems that he/she didn't change color!? he/she still color reddish brown??? please help!!! i just wanna know what kind he/she is!? thank you so much!!!

and what kind of discus is the real deal??? i mean i'm planning to get another discus what kind do u think is the best?

It looks like a wild caught discus. I like it, very unusual! Where did you get it?

I got it in a LFS! at sunset! here in LA! for only 10 bucks! smaller than a quarter size! and really thin!!!

Weird! It looks solid orange so probably somebodies hybrid and for $10. you can't go wrong. Feed him till he pukes, get him big and lets see what he looks like then?!

i posted the same post on different forums... and some people said that maybe its a brown or rosy red discus! coz' the only thing he eats is live worms! and he is now a larger than a poker chip size!

Looks to be not too far removed from wild brown. The coloration tells me that there is a bit of 'man made' going on too tho. Looks like a bit of someones 'sunset' strain got mixed into the gene pool. Really great PU for the money either way.

Rose Red or Alenquer....both are wild based, but as its been stated many times here it is far from being wild. It wont develop anymore coloration or patterning. The red though might get a bit more intense as it gets older, but not much.

Alenquer or rose would be my guess, and I've never seen 1.5" "wilds" sold. They are almost always adults......Also, feed that fish, it's stunted!

You're getting more? Look up some of Discus Hans stuff, he has some awesome fish (don't think you could even get a reply from him for $10 though... he's a bit pricey). I like more of the wild caught look, can't go wrong there.
