Just thought i would start a thread asking about strange fish friendships that people have noticed with their fish.for example i have a 9 inch oscar who is best mates with a 5 inch uaru cichlid.when its feeding time the oscar protects the feeding uaru while he eats so the other fish dont take his food.They swim around together all the time,the oscar has challenged every fish in the tank except the uaru.There was a time recently when we got home that we put tank light on and the oscar got stunned and started swimming around like a nutter.he accidentaly rammed the uaru and the uaru ended up looking like it was gonna die,on its side on the floor of the tank.he stuck by its side with his fins up and wouldnt let any fish or pleco near it.after about an hour it was fine and they were swimming around together.
